Pirates attack Kunle Afolayan, copies of ‘October 1′ now available for N500

Kunle Afolayan, producer of the award winning movie, October 1 has appealed to Nigerians not to buy pirated copies of his movie which is now availabale in the streets of Lagos. It would be recalled that last week, while the heat of the Oba of Lagos’s threat to the Igbos was still on, Kunle, had slammed Igbos for being the ones who pirate movies. Kunle had raised an alarm on Monday, that pirates had threatned to release pirated copies of his movie into the market, and true to their word, copies of October 1 appeared in the streets of Lagos for N500.
Kunle appealed to Nigerians not to buy the movie, he said, ‘Pirated copies of October 1 film are now released by the pirates and everywhere on the streets. We have been announcing and alerting the people in government for years. ‘Is this how we will fold our hands and look? It is my turn today, it may be yours tomorrow. I am devastated. Let us come and fight this scourge called piracy. Please do not buy.’kunle-A
